Kupang is the capital city of East Nusa Tenggara province, which comprises 3 major Islands: Flores, Sumba and West Timor as well as hundreds of small islands.
Timor Island is rocky, steep and mountainous; most of the land is covered by grasses and dry savanna. This condition is suitable for Sandalwood trees, which caused this Island to be well known.
Interesting aspects of this island exquisite traditional "Ikat" weaving, traditional elliptical grass roof houses, mixed tribes from all over Nusa Tenggara Islands (Savunese, Sumbanese, Bimanese, Florenese etc.) and others races (Chinese, Arabs, Makasarese, Bugines etc.) and unique music instrument of the Rottenness called "Sasando" made from lontar leaves.
 

4 Days Timor - The Traditional House and Sandalwood 

DAY 02 : KUPANG - SOE
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning enjoy Kupang city tour for visiting Kupang Museum, with its collection of fossils, anthropological artifacts, "Ikat" weavings textile, other items which reflect east Nusa Tenggara's different ethnic groups. Next, proceed to the market to see local people buying and selling their daily needs, then on to Lesiana beach to see the traditional process of making sugar palm. Lunch at local restaurant. Then drive to Soe, a distance of 110 km for 3 hours through  beautiful panoramas of rice fields, farms, jungles and savanna. Stops will be made at Oebelo, a Rottenness village famous for its unique music instrument called "Sasando", made from "lontar" palm leaves. Upon arrival check-in to HOTEL BAHAGIA II for accommodations and dinner. (B,L,D)

DAY 03 : SOE - BOTI - KUPANG
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Boti -  traditional village in Timor to see their traditional houses, ikat weaving and to be with the King of Boti and his people to learn their tradition and custom. Return to Soe  for refreshment then drive back to Kupang. Accommodation at HOTEL KRISTAL. (B,L,D)

DAY 04 : KUPANG -OUT
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Airport for flight to your next destination.(B)
 

5 Days Timor - Rote Island Exploration, Tim-PT/02

DAY 01 : KUPANG - ARRIVAL 
Breakfast at hotel. On arrival at Eltari Airport of Kupang, transfer to KRISTAL HOTEL for accommodation and lunch. visiting Kupang Museum, with its collection of fossils, anthropological artifacts, "Ikat" weavings textile, other items which reflect east Nusa Tenggara's different ethnic groups. DAY 02 : KUPANG - ROTE
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Bolok harbor to embark the ferry for 4 hours cruising to Rote Island.  On arrival at Pante Baru harbor of Rote, drive to Baa the capital district for  having lunch. After lunch continue drive to Nembrala the western part of island. On the way visiting Namodale for traditional house and several places according to local happenings. On arrival check-in at NEMBRALA BEACH RESORT for accommodation and diner. (B,L,D)

DAY 03 : ROTE
Breakfast at hotel. Take the road to Boni village the only viable remaining center of Roti's traditional religion and traditional house and to be with the local people to learn their way of life. Back to the main road to Oenale village where the ubiquitous baskets of plaited leaves and red clay pots are produced. Return to hotel for having lunch. After lunch chance to snorkel or relax on the white sandy beach. (B,L,D)

DAY 04 : ROTE - KUPANG
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to harbor for cruising back to Kupang. Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Baa. On arrival check into HOTEL KRISTAL for accommodations. (B,L,D)

DAY 05 : KUPANG -OUT
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to your next destination. (B)
